Not everyone can be a Marine. And not every Marine can be an officer. Young men and women who join our ranks right out of high school enlist in the Corps. Officers, however, are usually college graduates who have either completed the Platoon Leaders Class or attended Officer Candidates Course shortly after graduation. This is an excellent opportunity to lead this nation's most elite warriors, and the ability to do so will set you apart. Become a Marine Corps Officer and you will never look back - except at those trying to keep up.

Posted By  Capt. Plascencia
My name is Captain Plascencia. I am the Marine Corps Officer Selection Officer for Riverside, San Bernardino, Pomona, and Las Vegas. I interview and select some of America's brightest college students and graduates to become Marine Corps Officers. Selected individuals can pursue one of two programs:

Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) - Open to all regularly enrolled full-time students from Freshman to Juniors.

Officer Candidates Course (OCC) - Open to graduating seniors and college graduates.

Individuals that complete training are eligible to receive a commission in the United States Marine Corps as 2nd Lieutenants.
This is not ROTC. Training takes place (for PLC) entirely during the summer and does not interfere with your school schedule. Training for OCC takes place 3-times a year (October / January / June). See Programs for specific information in regards to PLC or OCC.
I am looking for the best, self-determined and confident young men and women who are mentally, morally, and physically fit to lead Marines.
